Fujiwa Electronic CSR Statement

At Fujiwa Electronic, based on our management philosophy, we value harmony and connections among people. By contributing to human happiness and the preservation of the natural environment through our business activities, we aim to be a company that creates a bright future. To promote business activities that take into account corporate social responsibility (CSR), we declare that all employees involved in our operations will act as follows:

1. Compliance with Laws and Respect for International Norms
  • (1) We will not engage in any acts that violate laws or regulations, nor acts that could be suspected of such violations, under any circumstances in our corporate activities.
  • (2) We comply not only with domestic but also overseas relevant laws and internal regulations, striving to ensure that all corporate activities conform to proper business practices and social ethics.
2. Human Rights, Labor, and Occupational Health and Safety
  • (1) We respect the human rights of every individual and do not engage in discrimination or harassment based on race, religion, creed, age, gender, social status, disability, etc. We also do not condone or tolerate such acts.
  • (2) We act to prevent forced labor, child labor, inhumane treatment, and discriminatory recruitment or employment.
  • (3) For the safety and health of our employees, we strive to provide a comfortable workplace environment with appropriate working hours, treatment, and occupational health and safety.
3. Consideration for the Environment
  • (1) We consider the impact of our corporate activities on the environment and contribute to the realization of a sustainable society by protecting the global environment and preventing resource depletion.
  • (2) Based on the company’s “Environmental Policy,” we strive to provide products and services with minimal environmental impact and free of hazardous substances through environmental conservation activities.
  • (3) We comply with environmental laws and regulations, and through environmental conservation activities, work to reduce waste, cut greenhouse gas emissions, and preserve biodiversity.
  • (4) We aim for resource and energy conservation by eliminating waste and inefficiency, and by promoting the reduction, reuse, and recycling of all materials for as long as possible.
4. Fair Trade and Corporate Ethics
  • (1) We comply with laws and conduct fair and sincere activities based on social norms and morals, acting responsibly toward all stakeholders (customers, business partners, employees, shareholders, local communities, etc.) as members of society.
  • (2) We respect fair and free competition and conduct sound and fair transactions.
  • (3) We strictly refrain from bribery, accepting or giving improper benefits, embezzlement, coercion, or any abuse of position, and conduct business in line with sound business practices and common sense.
  • (4) We respect intellectual property rights and do not infringe on the intellectual property of customers, suppliers, or other third parties. The company’s assets and intellectual property are properly managed in accordance with established agreements.
5. Product and Service Safety
  • (1) We always strive to improve customer satisfaction, and provide products and services that enhance customer satisfaction and trust, with consideration for quality and safety.
6. Information Security
  • (1) Information in our possession, such as customer information, company confidential information, personal information, and third-party information, is used appropriately according to its type and is strictly managed.
  • (2) To properly protect customer, company, and personal information, we work to defend against cyberattacks and prevent the leakage of confidential information.
7. Business Continuity Planning
  • (1) We formulate a Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and make efforts to prepare and take measures so that, in the event that our company or business partners are affected by a large-scale natural disaster, we can fulfill our supply responsibilities and resume operations promptly.

General Employer Action Plan

Fujiwa Electric declares “General employer action plan” based on the Act on Advancement of Measures to Support Raising Next-Generation Children.

What is “Advancement of Measures to Support Raising Next-Generation Children”?
This Act was established for the state, local governments, employers and citizens to clarify their duties and undertake it intensively and systematically for the purpose of creating an enabling environment for childrens’ healthy birth and growth. (established July 2003)
What is “General Employer Action Plan”?
This plan is for employers to create an enabling environment for employees to be able to strike a balance of their work and nurturing and for all employees to satisfy their work-life balance.
■ Fujiwa Electric Action Plan
Based on our corporate philosophy of expanding the “circle of happiness” like the wide foot of Mt. Fuji, our mission is to consider how we can make improvements within our society and promote business by utilizing maximum insight and creativity whilst contributing to the society. In order to complete the mission, Fujiwa Electronic aims to create a place where all employees can balance work, childcare and long-term care, which is expected to increase in the future, and lead a healthy and happy life both physically and mentally. To make this work-life balanced environment possible we have established the following action plan:
1. Planning period
5 years from February 01, 2021 to January 31, 2026.
2. Contents of Plan
【Objective 1: Increment of Using Annual Leave】

《Countermeasures》

  • (1) In order for employees to apply for annual leave more easily, we will introduce a system to each department where employees can share their workload daily.
  • (2) Monitor the status and set a target rate of annual leave taken by the employees.
  • (3) Set annual holidays so that employees can easily take long-term paid leave.
【Objective 2: Reduction of Overtime Working Hours】

《Countermeasures》

  • (1) Examine the content of overtime work and clarify the cause of overtime work → Develop work efficiency and other measures to prevent overtime work for each department.
  • (2) Make sure that employees take compensation leave if they work on holidays.
  • (3) Employees leave the office on time every Wednesday (no overtime day). (Promote recognition in a morning meeting, broadcast to encourage employees to leave work on time, send a message in the intranet, turn off the lights, etc.)
【Objective 3: Promoting ZERO resignation to support employees who require family care】

《Countermeasures》

  • (1) We aim to promote ZERO resignation and support employees who require family care by complying with the Nursing Care Leave Law. If there is an amendment to the law, make sure that all employees are informed. In particular, (1) allowing to take long-term care leave partially, (2) flexibility of credits for taking long-term care leave, (3) measures to shorten scheduled working hours for family care, and (4) restrictions on overtime working hours for family care (enforced on January 1, 2017) : Exemption from overtime work)
【Objective 4: Promote the health of all employees (aim to reduce the number of items requiring re-examination in health examinations)】

《Countermeasures》

  • (1) We will continue to carry out enlightenment activities such as regular seminars by health managers in order to acquire and practice knowledge for improving physical and mental health and preventing requirement of family care.
  • (2) Provide individual health guidance counseling based on the results of the health check.
  • (3) Establish a system that makes it easy to consult about health issues including mental health.
